One of my very good friends brought me here one weekend and I've been there 3 times after that visit. Samples galore. Very friendly staff. Just an all around adorable candy shop. Not to mention a lot of other goodies. Very dangerous to go on an empty stomach. You've been warned.
All of the candy is top notch, and I can't say enough about the caramel apple pie. I recently went to Manderfield's bakery for the first time so I would have something to compare to Vande Walle's, and Vande Walle's is FAR superior in every way. I absolutely adore Vande Walle's.
Would do your personal shopping there for you anytime. Coconut clusters are wonderful. They toast the coconut before drenching it in chocolate. Lots of cute chocolate items. Pies and bakery as great. Carmel apple, blueberry, pecan are all wonderful. Decorated cakes and creamy smooth cheesecake Make a decision difficult. Ice cream base is from supplier in neenah so it's a very local merchant. AND they have SAMPLES!!!!
I love this business. Wonderful candy and friendly staff. Handcrafted deliciousness for gifts. Ridiculous. I'm so glad places like this still exist. Receiving a boxes meltaways or caramel from vandewalle's (via Appleton family) has always been important part of the Christmas season for us California.Popping in the store in person recently was like reaching the chocolate headwaters. Joyous.
Excellent place! They have a great variety, super helpful staff and samples of items to help you decide. Plus the process were amazing. I look forward to going back for more!
