Fantastic food and service was excellent. But be careful, ordered the garlic bread expecting a few pieces, pretty much got a whole loaf! Money well spent.
I was a little surprised by my first experience here having read all the great reviews. We ordered the Green Gobbler online and had a 1 hour wait for pickup. When I got there I was told the kitchen was backed up and it would be another 10-15min wait. Got it 10min later and by the time I got it home (15min) it was cold. We were so disappointed because this pizza sounded amazing...and probably would have been if it were still warm.
Glass Nickel has good mid market pizza. They have a wide range of toppings, and it's possible to create some pretty delicious combinations. They're a local to Wisconsin company, which I like, and this particular location is actually quite a nice place, with a cool bar, lots of seating, and an outdoor patio for the summer. Though it's not my top favorite pizza, I do eat here or order takeout / delivery fairly often.
Great pizza! Service was a bit iffy. They seemed disorganized. We ordered take out. When we got there the person took our payment then said he would check to see if it was ready. He never got back to us. I figured I would have a beer while I waited. Many people walked past but never bothered to ask me if I wanted anything. I had to stop someone to ask if there was a bartender. They sent him over (he certainly wasn't spending much time behind the bar) and I got my beer. After a while we asked them to check on our order again and found that it had been sitting there for a while but no one seemed to know it was for us. But again, it was tremendous pizza. I really liked the Deluxe.
Comfortable atmosphere providing a pizza pub with sports bar style and friendly service. They also have trivia on Wednesday nights that is suitable for all ages, but certainly requires groups playing together. Makes it great for family, friends or even coworkers in having a fun time.
