Perfect location. Delicious coffees. This is my new favorite spot so close to home
Vegan bakery is great! Way better and better priced than Happy Bellies. Not as sweet or greasy. Menu is limited. It would be the Perfect place if they added a Vegan sandwich. Something light. Bread, cucumber, sprout, tomato, onion, balsmic vinegar. It would be so great to have a less heavy, less fat option vs. chickpeas, etc. Staff is hit or miss. Some are kind, some act conceited. Hopefully that'll improve. Then it'd be 5 stars.
The food is always excellent and very tasty. The options are limited, but have vegetarian and vegan menu choices. The patio is great in the warmer months and the inside has cozy and traditional seating. They have treats for animals for purchase and allow pets on the patio as well. Great place for food and a casual coffee.
Amazing selection of unique coffees. My favorite has got to be the lavender latte. Yummies from Happy Belly bakery too! Great assortment of gluten free goodies that don't taste gluten free at all! Fantastic and chic staff. My next thing to try are the waffle sandwiches!!!
Recently visited this lovely cafe and found they had enhanced their menu, yes! I love Tempest, beautiful place, great coffee, nice people, intelligent crowd (Lawrence University students abound), a really fine place. Located along the Fox River it's in a beautiful natural setting. A very popular place.
