Very nice rooms and swanky lobby. Very cool fireplace overlooking riverfront.
We were disappointed that there was no pool. There were also no bathroom fans. The rooms were quiet. Rooms were clean and well lit. The outdoor fire was nice and was warm even on a cold night. However, the best part of the stay was the service we had at The bistro. Ann made delicious food, delivered great service, and wonderful conversation (we were the only ones there). Issac, the bartender was awesome! He even cheerfully interacted with my first grader. Those two delivered 5 star service and went above and beyond.
Great hotel, right on the Fox River. Friendly Marriott staff, but house keeping left room for improvement. No dining options in walking distance, but plenty close enough for a quick drive.
This is a Beautiful Hotel, downtown but yet so quiet with the riverfront. If you can, I recommend asking for a riverfront view. I have stayed here twice now and I haven't had any issues. My parents, husband and I had appetizers and drinks in the lounge. The lady who was cooking the food (can't remember her name) she was lovely and friendly. Made us feel right at home. The Brussels sprouts were amazing and the drinks were delicious. The bartender did a great job, he informed us that it was not a full bar, which was disappointing and they had run out of Tito's. This would be something you should have on hand, he didn't even check if there was more. Rooms were wonderful, overall staff was friendly. Collin - Front Desk Manager was a Rock Star. His hospitality was genuine, not an act. It was appreciated! In the morning we enjoyed some breakfast and all was good on that end, but the lady who was working was kind of a mess. She seemed confused when we ordered, wasn't around to ask questions about food, or beverages when I went back up. Slow working and unprofessional. We waiting a while for something that shouldn't have taken that long. Overall a great experience, would recommend to friends and family and will defiantly be coming back!
Brand new hotel. It's a bit out of the way, but in a nice area. The room was modern and clean. And the bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and even though my rewards number didn't get included on my reservation, they were able to get it added before I left the next morning.
