Mike is AMAZING. I have been getting my nails done for the better part of 20 years and I have never had the privilege of having someone take so much pride in their craft. His work is simply stunning. He just did my nails for the 1st time yesterday and he's got a client for life...and I'm extremely picky. He's a great guy to talk to, it's like sitting with a friend...I told him it was fate. If you value quality, beauty and the best nails you've ever had, Mike @ Bamboo Nails is the only place to go!!!!! Pictures just don't do the perfection justice.
As soon as I walked into the building I was overcome with a very calming and refreshing smell. I then noticed the cleanliness of the building, and I was very impressed. The bathrooms are clean and also smell nice, and there is lovely music playing in the background. The room where I was getting my nails done (bamboo nails) had very nice colors, soft yet warm that really made me feel like I was in a relaxing space. One of the things I didn't care for was the strong cigarette stench that came off Mike as soon as he walked in. I do like how he schedules me every week however, the complaining could stop, he acts as if he doesn't want business. I am quite high maintenance and like to express my personality through art on my nails. This is an expensive taste but I am okay with it. Mike talks to me as if I am not educated in nail artistry and that bothers me a lot. His attitude and body language is mostly negative, and he talks down to me. I think the space is nice and the quality of powders he uses are good but I have decided after several visits that I will not be going back. I want to get what I am paying for and this is not the place for me. A client willing to pay $65-$85+ per week should be someone you want to keep. However reluctantly he will do what I ask for. And I do love my nails, I just need a place that is respecting and professional.
Cash only, no credit cards, and call ahead for an appointment, as they don't have a ton of chairs. This isn't one of the huge nail salons with many chairs lined up & down, but a very nice, cozy salon & skilled technicians. Good experience overall, would definitely go back again and recommend to others.
Very relaxing, quality products, and the most experienced pedicurist! No question, the best I've ever had.
