He helped my son immensely. He knows what he is talking about and is highly intelligent in his area of practice. He is short and to the point but listens and has great advice. Highly recommend.
I saw him about a year ago. He seems intelligent but I felt he came to a diagnosis extremely quickly with little information and wanting to put me on drugs before reviewing my history well. I left there feeling like a scolded little girl. Not to impressed. Front staff was very helpful and nice.
I have been meaning to post a review for a while now but I usually dont post bad reviews, so it has been difficult. Bannasch was insanely dismissive. I barely got three words out of my mouth before he re-diagnosed me and wanted to change my meds. When I tried to talk more about my symptoms and issues, he was condescending and interrupted me. Its like he was irritated that I was there.I saw him a few times and every time I left feeling worse. Like my problems werent worth his time. Its clear that he is highly intelleigent, but empathy is not his strong suite, and I think you need that to be a trusted psychiatrist. I feel like you should be able to hear people out and listen to their story so you can properly diagnose them. I guess it depends on your communication style... if you want to just explain your symptoms without going into your past history of medications or experiences, he might be okay for you. It is clear he understands the brain. Im just not sure he understands how to treat people, and that makes me question his efficacy.
Doctor was kind of rude, and immediately dismissive, and seemed to be eager to judge. Did not help and when I told him I needed something in small dosage and to take one as needed, during panic episodes, he was instantly staccato and tried to push dependency inducing medication onto me that I would need to take every day, when I said I dont want this he said had no other services to offer. This guy is just in it for the money, and just wants you to be on something that you will depend on, instead of helping to treat the issue. One star
