DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. There are RULES posted EVERYWHERE! 1 rule is no eating your breakfast ANYWHERE other than right there. 2. You are not allowed to have ANYONE visit you after 7pm or they charge your room if someone does. Staff is EXTREMELY rude. They yell at and harass EVERYONE that walks in. They ask who you are where your going. This place made me very uncomfortable. The rooms were old, smelly, and dirty. Never been treated so BAD at a hotel EVER. Im reporting them to corporate and I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!! #ZEROSTARS
My favorite hotel to stay at when in Appleton.Great hotel for the money.They have an inside hot tub and pool year round. Hot tub is great for relaxing after a long day but is great in summer but not heated enough for my liking in winter. Stay in the pool for at least 20min and then it might feel warm. Recently renovated inside. New everything including beds which are very comfy.
The updated interior looked great. Bathroom was clean and nicely updated as well. The super bright lights outside are great touch!! However, the beds and pillows left a lot to be desired. The mattress (plastic) cover made it uncomfortable and the mattress and pillows were hard like rocks. Maybe the items are all new, I don't know. Will I stay there again? Hard to say.....
Despite other reviews to the contrary, we had a very pleasant stay at the Howard Johnson of Appleton. The rooms were recently updated and were clean and modern. The staff treated us well. The pool and hot tub were nice additions for such a low price point. Would definitely stay again!
Great room, new remodel. Only one suggestion...would be nice if some pool chairs were higher. Low chairs are fun, but hard for some to use. Overall a great value!
